Lori Jarboe, PT, DPT, MHS
CEO

Dr. Lori Jarboe, a Louisville native, is honored to share more than 13 years of clinical and managerial expertise with HealthSouth Lakeview.  She graduated from the University of Louisville with her bachelor's degree in physical therapy, from the University of Indianapolis with an advanced masters of health sciences and doctoral degree in physical therapy.  She holds multiple certifications and is currently pursuing her second doctoral degree in health sciences, with emphasis on geriatrics and administration.  She is currently pursuing a fellowship in the American College of Healthcare Executives.  She is proud to be a resident of Rineyville and to have worked in the Hardin county area for all of her professional career.


Chris Koford, MD
Medical Director

Dr. Koford earned his medical degree at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1999. He then completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2003 at the Univiersity of Louisville.  A board-certified physician by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Koford has been in private practice since 2003. His practice is devoted to treating injury or illness to decrease pain and restore function. He enjoys getting to know each patient and helping them and their families understand their diagnosis and path to recovery. Dr. Koford believes that a coordinated team effort including physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and rehabilitation nurses is the best way to optimize recovery. In his spare time, he enjoys being with his family, racing ATV's, mountain biking and golfing.


James Farrell
Chief Nursing Officer
James has been in healthcare for more than 20 years.  He earned his associate's degree in nursing and bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University.  He also holds an MBA from the University of Louisville.  James has worked in rehabilitation at various levels including staff nurse, charge nurse and nurse manager.  James has been published in the National Rehabilitation Nursing Journal and is co-author of a textbook on rehabilitation nursing, due for publication in March of 2011.  He is an active member of the Association for Rehabilitation Nursing (ARN) and has held various positions including certification exam writing and national conference planning committee member.  James is currently attending school at McKendree University in pursuit of his bachelor's degree in nursing.  He lives in Elizabethtown with his wife, who teaches in Glendale, and their two children.

Marcie Britain
Director Of Therapy Operations

Marcie has been a practicing physical therapist in Hardin County for more than nine years.  She graduated from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in biology and also received a master's degree in physical therapy and a bachelor's degree in health sciences from the University of Kentucky in 2001.  Marcie has been with HealthSouth Lakeview since 2004.


Joy Samaras
DMO

Joy comes to HealthSouth Lakeview with a personal interest in rehabilitation. She received her Bachelor's in Nursing from Spalding University and started her nursing career at Audubon Hospital on the Transitional Care Unit, where she identified the need for patient education on diabetes.  With a determination to help patients with diabetes, she worked with the Kentucky Diabetes Control Program through the Lincoln Trail Health Department and as a facilitator of diabetes community education classes for Hardin Memorial Hospital. Over the past eight years, Joy's focus has been on sales and marketing with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry for diabetes products and related services. Her goal is for HealthSouth Lakeview Rehabilitation Hospital to be the first choice for rehabilitation services in the Heartland.


Scott Hart
Controller

Scott brings more than 10 years of accounting experience to HealthSouth Lakeview.  He received a bachelor's degree from the Western Kentucky University .  Scott was born and raised in Grayson County and currently resides in Clarkson with his wife and two children.


John Jackson
Direc tor of Plant Operations
John brings more than 29 years of plant operations expertise to HealthSouth Lakeview.  Throughout this period he has focused on advancing the quality of equipment and facility maintenance.  He has also been actively involved with environmental, health and safety concerns and improvement in the workplace.  He is a member of the Instrument Society of America and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and a senior member in the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

Janet Morris
Director of Human Resources

Janet brings more than 15 years of management experience and nine years of human resources experience to HealthSouth Lakeview Rehabilitation Hospital. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and human resource education. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in human resource education from the University of Louisville. Janet has been with HealthSouth Lakeview since 2003.
